AEV’s Tree Strap allows a winch cable to be safely anchored to tree’s trunk when recovering a stuck vehicle, without causing any permanent damage. Without using a Tree Strap, the steel cable or synthetic winch rope will heavily gouge a tree’s bark under the extreme forces that winching can generate damage that can ultimately kill the tree. Using a Tree Strap displaces all that energy and preserves the tree.

The AEV Tree Strap is made of 3-inch wide polyester webbing with reinforced eyelets and safety rated to a Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 24,000 lbs. with a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 6,000 lbs. To further maximize the service life of this Tree Strap, a unique edge guard was added for improved protection against cuts and abrasion.

Please Note: Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) is the minimum force necessary to cause a recovery device to break or fail. Working Load Limit (WLL) is the recommended maximum force a recovery device is intended to safely support, when the force is applied in-line and through the centerline of the device. The WLL is calculated by dividing the Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) by a safety factor that is generally around 4-to-1. For example, the AEV Snatch Block has an MBS of 52,000 LBS, so when divided by a safety factory of 4-to-1, the WLL becomes 13,000 LBS.
